Water holds the magic of existence. Its constant flow, ripples and transformations embody a primal force. The Images of Water bracelet explores the fluidity and dynamism of this element, as well as its continuous dialogue with light, space and movement. It captures the reflections of water and its ever-changing forms.
CREATIVE PROCESS
The ultimate test of patience
The piece I made for 4th Slovenian Jewelry Week is something truly special to me. It took almost five months of research, construction, and making.
When it was nearly finished, something went wrong, and I had to start again from somewhere in the middle. But it was worth it. Jewelry making is truly the ultimate test of how to remain patient throughout the creative process.
For this piece I also tried cutting crystal for the first time, and the crystal then became the central element of the bracelet. Two elongated forms, representing the ice, were created from waste crystal that once formed the bottom of a glass or vase.
HANDCRAFTED BY MASTER ARCHITECT
The Images of water bracelet is produced entirely by hand with traditional goldsmith technics. The main ring construction is made in 925 silver by milling, sewing, welding, and hammering process, adding the custom-made stone baskets.
Due to the exclusivity of the gemstones, the Images of water it’s the only of its kind and impossible to copy. Custom variations of the bracelet can only be made with similar gemstones.
